Car Accident Treatment Brampton: Rear-End Collision
Based on a Real Patient Review
This story is based on a real patient experience at DRS Physio & Wellness and a review publicly shared by the patient. The patient’s identity and identifying details have been withheld to protect their privacy.
Clinical information has been summarized for educational purposes. Every collision and recovery experience is different.
What the Patient Shared
“I was involved in a collision and he had me up and able to be back at work within a week.”
— Excerpt from a publicly posted Google review, reproduced with the patient’s permission. Identity withheld for privacy.
After the Collision
The patient came to DRS Physio & Wellness after a rear-end collision.
They were experiencing pain in the neck and both shoulders. Movements such as bending, turning, and extension made the symptoms worse.
The assessment was consistent with Whiplash-Associated Disorder (WAD) Grade II, along with a shoulder sprain/strain.
For someone dealing with a car accident injury, even routine movements can become difficult. Getting back to work and everyday activities can quickly become a priority.
The Treatment Approach
Treatment was planned around the patient’s symptoms and functional needs.
The rehabilitation approach included:
- Chiropractic care
- Massage therapy
- Interferential current therapy (IFC)
- Therapeutic exercise
The patient’s response to treatment was monitored throughout care, allowing the approach to be adjusted as needed.
Treatment following a collision can vary considerably depending on the person’s injuries, symptoms, and functional goals.
The Patient’s Recovery
The patient’s review described the DRS team as professional and said they received great care from the staff.
They specifically mentioned Dr. Dhillon and reported being able to get back to work within a week of the collision.
That was this patient’s experience. It should not be viewed as a typical recovery time or a promise of similar results.
Every auto accident is different, and so is every patient’s recovery.
Why Assessment Matters After a Collision
Neck and shoulder symptoms after a collision can have different causes and presentations.
An assessment helps the healthcare provider understand what the patient is experiencing, what movements are limited, and how the injury is affecting daily activities.
From there, treatment can be directed toward the patient’s individual needs.
For people looking for chiropractic care after a car accident, chiropractic treatment may be one part of a broader rehabilitation approach. The Ontario Chiropractic Association provides information about chiropractic care and treatment approaches for patients.
A Clinician’s Perspective
Dr. Dhillon
“With a collision injury, I want to understand what is bothering the patient and what movements or activities are giving them trouble.
From there, we can build a treatment plan around their needs and monitor how they respond.
The goal is to help patients work toward getting back to their normal activities.”

Final Thoughts from Dr. Dhillon
“Every patient comes to us with a different situation.
What matters is taking the time to listen, understand what they are going through, and help them work toward getting back to their everyday life.
We are grateful for the trust our patients place in us. Being part of someone’s recovery is something we never take for granted.”
